In 2008, my wife and I finally made the decision to build our dream retirement home in Western Maine. We really didn't know what to expect when we were referred to Robert Bourgoin at Maine Designs, Inc. to help us with the house plans. As we had done our research and homework, we expected Robert to be competent with his design skills. What we didn't expect was the truly, unbelievable "customer service" we experienced. Robert received a rough sketch ( and I do mean rough), and some vague ideas of what we had in mind and he turned these into a truly wonderful design. Initial plans were completed and we received them in a timely manner, the many changes we asked for were incorporated quickly and efficiently, and all phone calls to Robert were returned promptly. All this, combined with Robert's attention to detail, made what is normally a time consuming and potentially incredibly stressful endeavor, a truly enjoyable experience. If we decide to repeat this process ever again, we would consider no one else.

I would like to extend to you our sincere thanks for sticking with us through the period of time that we were establishing our floor plans to fit our liking. You were more than willing to keep correcting our changes (and sometimes changing the changes) as we looked over each set of new and revised plans we had asked you to up-date. Your patience, professional and easy going attitude was evident in the fact that you just kept on keeping on with all of our requests to make even the smallest change for us. Even when I spoke with you about my feeling of "wearing out our welcome - so to speak - you were still in that low keyed attitude of "not to worry". In fact I believe your statement was something like - " I will keep on changing it until You and Bonnie are satisfied. The work that you did is excellent and concise. It is obvious that you take great pride in your work and customer service and satisfaction is of the utmost importance to you. This was our first experience of dealing with floor plans and working with you was a great pleasure. We would and will recommend you and your work to anyone that we meet and is in the market for a designer to draw up a set of floor plans.
